Cosplayers of the Old Republic is a global Star Wars costuming community built by and for fans. We unite cosplayers who are passionate about creating and portraying characters from the Old Republic era of Star Wars lore — spanning roughly 25,000 to 1,000 BBY.
Originally centered around the Galactic Wars era (Star Wars: The Old Republic), our group has expanded to include characters from across the timeline, including Dawn of the Jedi, Tales of the Jedi, Knights of the Old Republic, and the New Sith Wars. Whether you’re recreating canon characters or designing original ones inspired by this vast timeline, you’re welcome here!
While we’re not affiliated with or sponsored by Lucasfilm Ltd., we proudly follow the general guidelines established for respectful Star Wars fan communities.
What We Do
Cosplayers of the Old Republic is a space to:
- Share your costume and prop builds
- Exchange tips, tutorials, and creative ideas
- Plan photoshoots or group meetups at conventions
- Connect with fellow cosplayers in your area
- Celebrate the Old Republic in all its forms
Our Focus
Our costuming inspiration comes from these main eras:
- Dawn of the Jedi (~25,000 BBY)
- Great Hyperspace War (5,000 BBY)
- Old Sith Wars (Tales of the Jedi, 4,000–3,996 BBY)
- Mandalorian/Dark Wars (KOTOR, 3,976–3,951 BBY)
- Galactic Wars (SWTOR, 3,681–~3,600 BBY)
- New Sith Wars (Knight Errant, Darth Bane Trilogy, 2,000–1,000 BBY)
We also love original characters! With 25,000 years of in-universe history and countless species, the creative possibilities are endless.
Community Guidelines
To keep this space fun and welcoming:
- Keep discussions civil and feedback constructive
- Avoid unrelated content, ads, or solicitations
- Only post costumes related to the Old Republic era (Clone Wars, Legacy, and post-Return of the Jedi EU are outside our scope)
Joining the Community
To become a member, you must answer the application questions. Incomplete applications will not be approved. If you’re not accepted within one month, you’ll need to reapply. More details to come on how to join a costumed member.
